Procedures Getting a Price: Fax (510) 475-9547 a drawing (floor plan) with any special situations noted. Countertops by Crown will call, mail, or fax back a written proposal good for 30 days. Measuring: Once our bid has been accepted, we need to take measurements of your cabinets. The cabinets should be installed true and level so we can take accurate measurements to insure a proper fit. Style and color must be chosen. Your sink and range information is required at this time. Have the brand and model number of the sink and range or have them physically on site for inspection. Schedule: Our schedule from the time of measurements are taken to installation is approximately two weeks. This could vary depending on the color selected. We will coordinate an installation date and approximately three days prior to installation. Date of Installation: Old countertops and appliances must be removed. Sinks should not be installed until after the countertop installation. All exposed dishes, pots and pans, etc, that are exposed from the top of the cabinets should be removed prior to installation. The tops are scribed and cut to fit the wall and secured to the cabinets. We seal the top of the backsplash with a silicone caulk against the wall. Cut outs to complete the range or sink may be required to insure a proper fit of the countertops, so expect some dust. The installation of sinks and appliances are not part of our work, this must be done by other specialists. Terms: Our terms (unless you have already set up an account) require a 50% deposit at the time the measurements are taken. The balance is due upon installation. |
